Amna Hair Donation Experience

Amna Baree, currently working as an editor in an MNC. A pet lover, an avid reader and a passionate humanitarian and our latest Hair donor .
Q1) Why have you decided to donate your locks ?
I keep looking for ways where I can benefit any living being, be it human or an animal. I recently found out about Hair to Help via a blogpost and made my mind in the moment that I need to set an example for people out there.
Q2)How much length you donated? Your overall experience with Hair To Help
I donated 15 inches of my hair and I cant explain how I felt while heading to the salon. It was an experience that i’d cherish all my life. The satisfaction you get thinking that you’ll be the reason of someones smile is something i cant put into words.
Q3)Can you describe the feeling from which you were going through during hair donation ?
After struggling with myself for almost three months, I finally decided to go this short for the first time. The feeling was inexplainable and I bet i couldnt be happier in my life after I took this decision.
Q4) Would you like to donate your Hair again in future ?
Yes, of course. I have decided to donate my hair every 2 years. I’ll definitely try to spread more smiles to people who are a victim of this fatal disease.
Q5)What was the reaction of your Family/Friends?
I got to see a variety of reactions by the people. Some were really sad but felt proud after I disclosed the reason to them. Some were genuinely happy to see me going through a transformation exclusively for cancer patients.
Q6)According to you, why hair donation is not so common in Pakistan?
Religious views! People are shaped into thinking that its a forbidden act and one must not do it. Little do they know that selflessness is what our religion preaches the most. It teaches us to be kind and helpful towards people. If an act of kindness helps a sick person in distress, what harm can it cause in the hereafter?
Q7)An inspirational message you would like to give to motivate others for Hair Donation in Pakistan.
I’d suggest people to go for it atleast once in their life because you wouldn’t know how good it feels unless you do it. There would be times when you’d feel proud of what you did to make someone feel confident about themselves.
I’d be the happiest if my act of kindness inpires even one person to donate.
