Sidrah first hair donation in 2015

Sidrah Waseem, MBA by qualification and currently working as a “Trainer” at Punjab Information Technology Board have donated her hair twice to Hair To Help , we got the chance to talk to her to share her experience with our fans !

Q1) Why have you decided to donate your locks?
I use to think of donating my blood to help people in need but since I do not have so much of courage to donate my blood because of the fear of pain so when I got to know of Hair Donation I thought that I can do it.

Q2) How much length you donated? Your overall experience with Hair To Help
I donated 12 inches of hair each time. First one was in July 2015 and second time was in July 2017. Overall experience is good with Hair to Help but the team needs to be more active.

Q3) Can you describe the feeling from which you were going through during hair donation?
I had mixed emotions because I was happy to help people in need and also at the same time a lot of people questioned me at the salon as to what I am going to do with my hair and they find it fishy God knows why.

Q4) Would you like to donate your Hair again in future?

Yes, Inshallah if Allah gives me the courage and opportunity.

Q5) What was the reaction of your Family/Friends?

My family was surprised at my decision and friends were like unbelievable of the thought they there is something as Hair Donation too.

Q6) According to you, why hair donation is not so common in Pakistan?
People find it a taboo as to donate their hair and think that is going to be used for some other thing. Also a lot of girls need a lot of courage to get 12 inches of hair cut at once.

Q7) An inspirational message you would like to give to motivate others for Hair Donation in Pakistan.
Put yourself in the shoes of the people who need it and then automatically you will feel like donating your hair to the needy.
