Fiza Hair Donation Experience

Q1) Why have you decided to donate your locks ?
While growing up my hair are always liked by everyone. I have got really thick hair with a lot of volume. Everyone thinks my hair are goals. Almost 2 years back I saw a post of some celebrity whose daughter donated hair. I thought no one will allow me to donate my hair but I wanted to. I forwarded the post to my sister and she asked If I wanted to donate hair. I was like “yeah” . But I didn’t know where to donate. A few months back I saw another celebrity giving a shout-out to your page. I immediately contacted for details. Now it was time to ask my parents. My father felt proud. When I told my friends few of them made fun of my idea but others supported me. I was passing through a difficult phase during lockdown so I wanted some positive change. In October I finally donated my hair. I wanted to help my sisters who are passing through this difficult phase. I wanted to make someone happy.
Q2)How much length you donated? Your overall experience with Hair To Help
I donated 12 inches of my hair . The overall experience was too good. Team “hair to help” is really very supportive. You are doing a great work. More power to you.
Q3)Can you describe the feeling from which you were going through during hair donation ?
I had been growing my hair for so long. I felt light and happy. My main motive was to bring a smile to someone’s face who is in pain. That feeling is indescribable.
Q4) Would you like to donate your Hair again in future ?
Yes, I would love that.
Q5)What was the reaction of your Family/Friends?
My family supported me in this act. My close friends supported me. But few of my friends and cousins mocked at me. They said that this is not even a good deed. People said ” your hair will not let you enter Paradise ” But I ignored all those mean comments because I am satisfied with it. Moral support is really important for people passing through difficult times. If few inches of my hair will end someone’s insecurity that’s enough for me. I just want to make my sisters smile and nothing else. Alhamdulillah! I am proud of my decision.
Q6)According to you, why hair donation is not so common in Pakistan?
I think this is due to the fake beauty standards of our society. In our society long hair is considered beautiful. This is the reason that in our movies and dramas heroines are always shown with long silky hair. In the world where everyone is talking about body shaming we are stuck with the idea of “long silky hair”.
Q7)An inspirational message you would like to give to motivate others for Hair Donation in Pakistan.
Dear girls don’t care about the texture and length of your hair. Everyone is unique and has different sorts of hair. People say that long hair is the goal but for me making someone smile because of my hair is the true hair goal. Be your own kind of beautiful. Don’t let the fake beauty standards affect you. Your hair is the crown you never take off. Every princess has a unique crown. Let others smile because of your crown. Helping someone brings positive change to your own self.
