Mehreen Hair Donation Experiance

Mehreen Fatima aka MehreenFay, a 20 years old business student in COMSATS, Lahore. Mehreen is involved many philanthropic activities and have organized opportunities for others such as sending 3 child labor brothers to school, blood camp for SKMH, being an ambassador of Voice Society for Special Children. Mehreen Recently donated her 22″+ hair to Hair To Help and shared her hair donation experience with us, she is truly a Brave Role model for other girls.

Q1) Why have you decided to donate your locks ?

I had this in my wish list from past 2 years. Two years ago, I got a shoulder length cut but my hair donation were only 9″ so I couldn’t. This time finally I grew up to 22″ approx. to donate.

Q2)How much length you donated? Your overall experience with Hair To Help

I donated 22″ of hair. I’m hoping of creating an awa

reness about Hair to Help because I really believe people who can grow hair shouldn’t brag about it but help others to feel the same happiness of having good locks.

Q3)Can you describe the feeling from which you were going through during hair donation ?

First of all, I had my fingers crossed because hair sigmas are so prominent in our society that if you even get a trimming, people tell you that you’ve done wrong so I just knew I’m going to face criticism for this but after the donation, I feel so relieved and strong. A person who doesn’t care about “log kia kahain gy” because of the good deeds I believe in.

Q4) Would you like to donate your Hair again in future ?

Yes inshallah Definitely.

Q5)What was the reaction of your Family/Friends?

My family was shocked and very angry for a whole day but when they came to know about the reason and how it’s going to help out cancer patients & people who can’t grow hair, they were proud of me. Friends, don’t even ask they call me bhai now. Jokes apart, they also want to donate and contribute to this noble cause.

Q6)According to you, why hair donation is not so common in Pakistan?

Our society has a trend of bragging about good hair. I own a herbal hair care brand and I know how people are so obsessed with good hair because they feel it’s what makes a person beautiful. What new they need to understand is, it’s the inner beauty and selflessness that makes you really beautiful.

Q7)An inspirational message you would like to give to motivate others for Hair Donation in Pakistan.

I would like to give out the message that the inner beauty is what makes a person truly beautiful and there’s nothing more amazing that having a beautiful heart. Be selfless and see your life being a magical.

I also want to add that our society has a trend of only promoting evil deeds and people think good deeds are meant to be hidden. Let me tell you, to set good standards and a good example, you got to be a good example and let others know. No ones wants to miss out a good act.
