Humera Tehsin’s Story
I had been sporting long hair since teenage as I loved the way they had grown into these long, thick locks and everybody would appreciate the effort I had put into making them look that way. However, learning about the diseases that result in partial or complete hair loss forced me to think differently. I tried to imagine myself suffering from such a condition and within a split second, I realized the severity of pain and torture such patients must be experiencing. Being a part of the world largely marred by apathy, making a positive change seems a difficult task but then all it takes is determination and devotion to your cause and all of us, through our little contributions, done purely out of love and empathy can really make a big CHANGE!
Therefore, on World Cancer Day (Feb 4), I finally mustered up the courage to give my hair away to the one who really needs it. These locks of love are given with the hope that they will become a reason of bringing smile to someone’s lips. In Shaa Allah
I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation for all the donors of HAIR TO HELP who inspired me to become a part of this worthy cause. Kudos to you!
